Individual Partner:
Catherine MAIA holds a PhD in law. Her thesis dealt with the concept of jus cogens in public international law. While pursuing successfully her research activities at the Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights in Geneva, she gives lectures on topics related to public law at the University of Burgundy in Dijon. She works as a legal advisor for an Association specialized in foreign policy and immigration law in Paris, and is an administrator member of the network of analysis and information on international topics Multipol.
Prior to these responsibilities, Dr. MAIA acted as consultant for UNITAR, completed various internships in particular at UNIDIR and in diverse law firms. Author of several articles, her principal issues of research are related to the protection of human rights, international humanitarian law, multilateral diplomacy and constitutional law.
